It's a sad time for both fantasy and science. The death of the institution that brought hope and a sense of childish excitement to many of us. It was always comforting to me to know that at some point the possibility that the news might begin one day with 'SETI researches announced today the discovery of...' and all the time I spent slavishly reading and researching anything i could find on this:
